Venezuela: gasoline trafficking (English)

For decades, Venezuelan authorities have tried to stop the flow of cocaine across the border from Colombia in vain. Now another battle seems to confront: the traffic of gasoline in the opposite direction.

Shamrock gas station in San Antonio, a city on the Colombian-Venezuelan border has a line of cars of five blocks.

A couple of soldiers from the Venezuelan National Guard prove that the drivers do not carry more fuel than necessary to sell in Colombia.

Many are antique car Ford or Chevy, they have gas tanks with a capacity of 80 to 100 liters.
